EXTERNALLY UPSET DRILL PIPE





BOURNEDRILL offers field proven drill pipe, as used with portable drilling rigs for water well drilling, mineral prospecting, seismic shot hole drilling and test hole drilling.

The pipe is made from material to the specification of API Grade 'D', with higher strength Grade 'E' also available.

The Tool Joints are made from 4140/4145 alloy steel, heat treated before machining. Modern tape controlled lathes machine all threads, which are gauged to assure conformance to standards.

The Tool Joints are attached to the external upset pipe by friction welding, or can be assembled to the external upset pipe by special taper threads enabling replacement.

Standard pipes of 2 3/8" x .281", 2 7/8" x .281"/.362", 3 1/2" x .368" and 4 1/2" x .337" are available in metric or imperial lengths.

Breakout Flats or Lugs are provided upon request, also Thread Protectors can be fitted upon request.
